I did everything the application said toOct 22 2014Linguistics
I did everything the application said to. It's been 3 or so years since I applied, but I think my letter of intent had something about my experiences in band and how they helped me grow as a person. It's not terribly hard to get in here if you have an average GPA and SAT, and goodish letters.

Its almost an 80% acceptance rate here, many people get in who aren't ready for the type of work that is expected from students here. For me, I got into all 3 schools that I applied to, and I would genuinely suggest that students make sure that they were involved in high school, and that they got "good" SAT and ACT scores. I also suggest early admittance. I loved that I got to know before the new year if I was going to UMW. Take a lot of weight off of your back!

Well I had a high GPA in high schoolAug 31 2011Business - Management and Administration
Well I had a high GPA in high school and was very involved with lots of clubs. I would recommend getting great recommendations. I don't think the SATS matter so much, they are just so high because a lot of the students are rejected from The College of William and Mary, and The University of Virginia. I know some students that got reject from JMU and VT but still got into UMW, which can bring up from controversy.
